Do you deliver, set up and collect the equipment?

Yes. All hire equipment is delivered, set up and collected by our own trained team. You deal directly with Simply Bouncy Castle Hire, not a third-party courier or call centre. This applies whether you are booking bouncy castles, soft play, inflatable games or other party hire items.

Is adult supervision required during the hire?

Yes. A responsible adult must supervise the inflatable or soft play equipment at all times. The supervising person must stop unsafe behaviour such as climbing, hanging or sitting on walls, and should manage the number and size of children using the equipment.

Are your inflatables suitable for indoor use?

Many inflatables are suitable for indoor venues such as halls and community centres. Ceiling height and floor space are important, and our delivery team will advise on suitability. We also offer indoor-friendly options including low height bouncy castles and soft play for hall parties.

Can food, drink or face paint be used on the inflatables?

No. Food, drink, chewing gum and face paint must not be used on or near inflatables. These can cause slipping hazards and damage. Party poppers, streamers, silly string and ink-based products are also not permitted.

What should children wear when using a bouncy castle?

All users must remove footwear, glasses, jewellery, badges and any sharp objects before using the inflatable. No toys or sharp objects are allowed on the inflatable, and pets must be kept well away.

What happens if the inflatable gets wet?

Inflatables must not be used if the jumping surface becomes wet. Most units include a shower cover, but if rain becomes heavy the unit should be switched off. Once conditions improve, the inflatable must be fully dried before use resumes.

What should I do if the blower stops working?

In the unlikely event of blower failure, remove all users immediately. Check the blower reset button, fuse and power supply. Ensure the tube has not disconnected or become blocked. If the blower does not restart, contact us straight away so we can resolve the issue.

Are you insured and licensed?

Yes. We are a fully insured and professionally operated family business. Safety, cleanliness and reliability are extremely important to us, and all equipment is cleaned and inspected before every hire.

Simply Bouncy Castle Hire has been operating for over seven years. Based in Gravesend, we supply party hire equipment across Kent, Essex and parts of London.

What types of events do you cater for?

We supply equipment for birthdays, BBQs, fetes and festivals, weddings and christenings, school functions, fundraisers, corporate events and many other celebrations. Our range includes bouncy castles, soft play and inflatable games.

What if the equipment is returned dirty or damaged?

If equipment is returned excessively dirty or damaged, we reserve the right to charge for cleaning or repairs. Please follow the safety and care guidance provided by our team during setup.

Do I need to provide power for inflatables?

Yes. A standard household power supply is required for inflatables. The blower must remain switched on while the inflatable is in use. If power access may be an issue at your venue, please let us know in advance.

Can inflatables be set up on hard surfaces?

Yes, many inflatables can be set up on suitable hardstanding such as concrete or tarmac, provided there is enough space. Our team will ensure the unit is secured correctly. Please tell us the surface type when booking.

How much space do I need around the inflatable?

A clear space of at least 6 feet (2 metres) is required around the inflatable. This allows for safe access, supervision and safe positioning of the blower.

Can adults use the inflatables?

Some inflatables are suitable for adults, while others are designed for children. Please follow the guidance given by our delivery team and observe maximum user limits. Avoid mixing much larger users with smaller children.

What happens if the weather is bad on the day?

Light showers are usually manageable if the inflatable has a shower cover, but inflatables must not be used in heavy rain or strong winds. Safety comes first. If conditions are unsuitable, contact us and we will advise.

Can I move the inflatable after it has been set up?

No. Once the inflatable has been positioned and secured by our team, it must not be moved. If you believe repositioning is necessary, please contact us first.

Is there a limit on how many children can use the inflatable at once?

Yes. Each inflatable has a recommended maximum number of users, which our delivery team will explain. Overcrowding must be avoided, and children of very different sizes should not use the inflatable at the same time.

Do you clean the equipment between hires?

Yes. All inflatables and soft play items are cleaned, sanitised and checked before every hire. Hygiene is a priority for children’s events.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekends, school holidays and peak dates. Popular dates can book up quickly, particularly for events in Sidcup, Gravesend and Dartford.

What time do you collect the equipment?

Collection times vary depending on the day and route. Our team will confirm collection details with you and aims to collect promptly without disrupting your event.

Do you supply equipment for schools and corporate events?

Yes. We regularly supply equipment for school functions, fundraisers and corporate events, including inflatable games, soft play and larger inflatables suitable for older children and adults.
